Last week we finished a kitchen cabinets painting job in Summerville. This cabinet job was a departure from the normal off-white cabinets we usually paint, this time we painted the cherry cabinets black. I must admit I was a bit skeptical at the start but that was before seeing the amazing brick veneer she had installed and the extension of the crown molding to the ceiling.
We uninstalled all the cabinet doors and drawers, took them to the shop where we cleaned and sanded them. They then got sprayed a coat of Bin primer and two coats sprayed with PPG Breakthrough satin. The frames were done in the exact same manner only instead of spraying they were brushed and rolled in place.
The kitchen was totally operational through out the entire process and everything was able to stay in the drawers and cabinets. The entire job from start to finish took four days to complete.
